Stillness vs. Chaos - Same place, same hour, two different stories

The composition is similar, but the conditions, and the results, were completely different. In the first image, I used a slow shutter speed to smooth out the water and the sky, which gives it a calmer, quieter feel. In the second image, I wanted to capture the tension and the motion, so I switched to a faster shutter speed and caught the waves mid-impact, which makes everything feel much more intense an chaotic. What changed wasn't just the composition, but also the feeling. We spent our days on this beautiful island under storm-heavy skies, with dramatic clouds with small patches for the light to go through, bursts of rain and snow, relentless wind, and gales that kept us on the edge.
